If you include exit tickets in your daily routine, but are tired of the same old ones... here are 3 exit ticket formats you can use for just about any topic or level!
Fill in the blanks
This format is great for when students are learning new verb forms or a new tense.
Students have to fill in the blanks with the correct form of the verb in parentheses in the given tense.
Example: Fill in the blanks with the correct form of the verb in the preterite tense.
1. María __llevó___ un anillo a la escuela ayer. (llevar)
You can make it easier by including a word bank if you think many of your students will struggle.
Answer questions
This format works well for teaching new vocab or grammar.
Students have to answer questions with a picture prompt. This requires them to use the new vocabulary and lets you target what you want to make sure they know and understand.
Students need to already be familiar with the pictures and what vocab they stand for to be successful with this format of exit ticket.
Example: Answer the following questions in complete sentences. Use the pictures as prompts.
1. ¿Qué nos recomienda para cenar? __Yo les recomiendo la chuleta de cerdo para cenar.___
Write sentences out
This format also works well for teaching both new vocab and/or grammar, but requires that students are already familiar with all the images.
Students have to write sentences out based on images that you give them. The directions need to be clear as to what verbs or constructions they should use.
Example: Write that you are wearing each article of clothing in the color shown. (In this example, students already know the colors and that the image for banana means yellow, the image for chocolate means brown, etc.)
1. ___Yo llevo la chaqueta amarilla.____
